The Pixiebook is an interactive storybook for children based upon the story of Tiddalik the frog from Australian Aboriginal dreamtime stories. The story is about a frog, Tiddalik, which consumed all the water in Australia causing the other animals to get very thirsty. In order to get Tiddalik to give the water back they needed to find a way to make him laugh.
While searching for a story to use in our Pixiebook I suggested this story as it was something different and we already knew that Australian animals and anything to do with Australia was popular with Danish children. People were enthusiastic about the idea and in the end, the story turned out to be quite successful with both the children and our teachers.
